Why Education?

We value Education:

Every child deserves a chance to school and we are working to ensure that our children receive a quality basic education no matter their circumstances. Our children are given education regardless of race, gender, age, religion or nationality while underprivileged and marginalized communities take precedence.

We achieve the above by bottom-up approach and we prefer

-Understanding the true needs of our supporting communities to having wishful thinking on provoking a change

-Listening carefully and having a discussion with locals to imposing our will.

We make concrete promises about possible work and aiming to produce results, that’s always our vision.

We are dreamers also doers.

There are over 80 volunteers from Taiwan, Malaysia and China coming to strive for a hope for children who dream of an education and youth who determine to escape from an impoverished life in the past seven years. Volunteers have participated in CTEP International Service and are responsible for internal administrative affair, with their greatest passion and endless kindness.. As yet, nearly 30 native teachers devote themselves to our rural learning centers. CTEP attaches great importance to certified teachers and standardized curricula. Our teachers are well trained and aiming for making profound effect on students.

Education could not be measured on a multiple-choice test, we believe every little step we make would allow the beneficiaries in pursuit of knowledge and in long term, every child would enable to make decision for their own future. May every teacher and volunteer be a dreamer, we are also a productive doer.

Computer and English

The world has changed, but the need of education have not.

It is crucial for us to promote a lifelong learning and sustainable development and therefore we offer only Computer and English classes, from basic, intermediate to advance level. We believe they are the key to erase illiteracy and narrow the gap between rich and poor. Computer is the path to enlightenment while English is the most widely used language, both are certainly essential to the field of education.

Taiwan, the center of the world’s laptop production and a manufacturing powerhouse, is reputable for her global brand and aiming high at playing the role to be an innovative leader in Asia. There is a growing realisation in the third developing countries that the future success of their countries will depend on its ability to strive for a place in the world. And our work is to create possibility of an optimistic prospects for our students by teaching Computer and English.
